Naveen graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 1999. Very early in his professional career he got involved into intellectual property (IP) law and started working with a law firm in the domain of IP. He is a registered Patent Agent and an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. He has around twenty-three years of core IP experience. Before joining ZeusIP as a Partner in 2009, he was managing the IP (Patent) Division of a leading Michigan-based IP services company (KPO), in India.

Area of Practice/ Expertise

His extensive experience for around twenty-three years in the domain of IP extends to counselling on protection, enforcement and management of IP assets. His core areas in IP include patents, designs, trademarks, geographical indications, plant variety and farmers rights protection.

Naveen has been actively involved in advising universities, R&D centres, corporates in mining inventions, advising on patentability of inventions, drafting of patent applications, patent analytics and patent prosecution services, global filing strategies, working around innovations, oppositions, enforcement and commercialization in the areas relating to mechanical, electromechanical, automobiles, electronics and telecommunications, bio‐medical instrumentation and software.

Naveen has been actively involved in managing portfolios for design and trademark registrations, building strategies for clients, enforcement spanning the complete spectrum of IP services from conceptualization, protection, commercialization, enforcement and maintenance.

His extensive interaction with clients, both at the organizational (corporate and R&D centers) and institutional levels, over the years has involved him in making several presentations on various IP related issues at different platforms.
